As the late great MSR videos used to proclaim... MEN ARE PIGS. Well, duh... that shouldn't come as a big suprise to anyone! But that doesn't mean that piggish behavior is the right way to act in a dungeon. Remember that the SFCitadel is indeed a dungeon... and not a sex club. Not that sex isn't a welcome addition to play here. It's just that the rules of the road are different. And to fit in, you need to know them.

As any pig farmer will tell you, pigs are usually polite and well mannered. But in any herd of pigs, there are occasionally 'boars'. If we let them, these ill-tempered, rude, and/or obnoxious animals will ruin a party or event for everyone else. 'Boarish'behavior is never appropriate. Even the most experienced BDSM players are NOT welcome to tell novices how their scenes could be improved unless invited to do so. It's also just plain rude to make others uncomfortable by any of your actions, such as cruising them hard. We may all be pigs and this may be a dungeon... but a little class never hurts!

  • NO MEANS NO! If you ask someone to play and they say No, don't press the issue further by trying to change their mind or pressure them. Move on. Rejections often are not personal, but even if it is, be an adult!
  • Never walk into a scene or attempt to talk to people in the middle of a scene. This is an excellent way of disrupting their concentration, not to mention pissing them off!
  • No drinking or drugs on the premises. Anyone who shows up at a Citadel party obviously intoxicated or under the influence of any recreational drug will be refused entrance.
  • Drinks (except for water) and food, are not permitted in any area other than the kitchen and dining areas.
  • No cameras and/or video equipment are allowed at the Citadel during parties.
  • We also ask that out of respect for others that any arguements be immediately taken outside.
  • To protect the anonymity of other members of our community, remember that "What Happens In The Dungeon... Stays In The Dungeon". We know that was ripped off from Las Vegas... but it works!
  • We also strongly suggest all attendees maintain a high standard of personal cleanliness and appearance. Mansmells may turn you on, but don't expect others in an open playspace to share your fetishes.
  • Do not engage in any unlawful activity that would discredit The Citadel. This includes the use of drugs, bringing in a firearm, or allowing a minor on the premises.
  • Always show respect and understanding for everyone at a Citadel event. Remember that others may have an equal discomfort level toward you. So cool your jets and act civilized!
  • Do not touch, pick up or play with anyone's toys or equipment at a Citadel party without getting permission first from their owner.
